We are consulting on the proposal to lower the Published Admission Number (PAN) of Rose Hill Primary School from 60 to 30, from September 2025.

This change is proposed in response to a fall in the birth rate, seen nationally and locally, and the linked projected fall in the number of pupils due to start school living in the catchment area of Rose Hill Primary School.

In line with the requirements of the Admissions Code 2021, this consultation seeks to engage with parents and carers of children already at the school, as well as future parents of the school, the staff, other local admissions authorities and other interested parties.

The consultation is open for six weeks, responses must be received by 3pm on 12 January 2024.   Please use this form for online responses: our online form

The consultation will run from 17 November 2023 to 12 January 2024. If you have any comments on the proposed changes, or would like a hard copy of the proposal, please email office@rosehillprimary.org, call  01865 777937 or write to:

All children are entitled to fifteen hours of nursery schooling, the term after they turn three.  Here at Rose Hill we offer either morning or afternoon sessions.  Our morning sessions run from 8.40 am to 11.40 am and our afternoon sessions run from 12.30 pm to 3.00 pm.  Please speak to a member of staff if you would like your child to bring in a packed lunch to eat here at school at 11.45 am.

We are offering extended hours in the Nursery to families who are eligible for 30 hours per week.  You can check your eligibility at www.childcarechoices.gov.uk

When you apply for a place at nursery we will usually contact you the term before your child is due to begin attending.  A member of the nursery team will contact you and arrange to visit you at home, to see your child in a familiar environment and to get an understanding of what they enjoy doing.  The team will then talk to you about visits to nursery and settling your child in nursery.
